The "Southern Cross" is more than just a favorite Crosby, Stills, and Nash song it's actually the smallest of the 88 modern constellations sitting opposite Cassiopeia in the Southern Hemisphere. Officially it's known as Crux, which is Latin for cross, and has been used by sailors for navigation for centuries. The Crux is made up of a combination of four (actually five) stars making a cross which can be found on many countries flags, including Australia, Brazil, and New Zealand. - From www.iNeverKnewThat.com
