i think about cave­men everyday.

what they ate,
what they did in sit­u­a­tions like my own
& every time i wipe my ass,
i won­der how they wiped their ass.

i've been cap­ti­vated by them since as long as i can remem­ber.
thinking about how we lived our lives hundreds of years ago is always awesome for me


count­ing cave­men is the sequel to count­ing laz­ers,

ive been work­ing on it off & on for more than two years.
official release date, September 12, 2010!

the mix is going to be split into 7 chap­ters which all connect together. whole thing is about 100 minutes total
each chap­ter has a theme that cave­men went through.

Chapter 1: Guitar (first instruments, lots of live music, piano, guitar, choir, etc)
Chapter 2: Pimp (first caveman pimp, falls in love with his muse. grinding, uptempo, nasty boom vibe)
Chapter 3: Love (pimp falls in love with his muse, jazz, drum & bass, smooth)
Chapter 4: Dance (first cave is set aside for dance, packed with dance, dance, dance)
Chapter 5: War (first war goes down, evil, dark, dubstep, drum & bass, hard vibe)
Chapter 6: God (first cavemen discovers & feels God, very musical, introspective vibe)
Chapter 7: Heaven (cavemen become extinct, melodic, epic vibe)

this is part of Chap­ter 6: God
which is shap­ing up to be one of my favorite pieces of the mix.

the inspi­ra­tion for this chap­ter is all vib­ing around the first cave­man feel­ing God + what ensues.
