C'mon norkinm, you are intelligent enough to understand that a truly large number of otherwise upstanding citizens can easily be denied the huge privilege of voting that so many people of privilege take so much for granted that they forget to express their gratitude to the less privileged human beings who here.

Privileged white people have a hard time understanding that they really are privileged. Part of the privilege they endure is the ability to have a water bill to pay, ability to pay it if they do have one, ability to get a receipt for paying it if they did so, ability to physically carry it into some location (whether near or -more likely- quite distant) during restricted hours to use it to obtain an acceptable photo-ID, ability to physically get that to some distant place...etc. 2 vote.

The Left wants big government. Don't forget that the Dems were the ones who wanted to keep slavery going during the days of slavery. The Republicans were the Abolishonists. A vote for Obama is a vote for a new kind of slavery

Voting is not a social freedom, it is a privlege. The Patriot Act is in place to protect all of us from terrorists. The US has never executed anyone without a trial. As far as taking away our rights, you are partly accurate, the Democratic Party wants to take away our rights, by making us dependent on the government by the Big Brother handouts. In Nov. when Obama gets voted out that may change. .

Aww the new Right. Take away all social freedoms. Let's start getting tagged by the government. We already have the Patriot Act that allows the government to charge a citizen as a terrorist, then execute them on grounds of treason, before a trial ever takes place. Right now the US National Voter Registration form descriminates against the blind and the visually impaired and Hispanic people because the form is not accessible to the blind. The form for people who speak Spanish, the form speaks in English when you turn on a screen reader. The form requires the blind to own a program that costs $1100 and that is a poll tax. You talk about voter ID which is federal law and required for each state and yet you ignore the blind and this POLL TAX!

The new republican/communism party! At least, that's how I see it. Communism starts by eliminating one by one the rights of individuals. Once those rights are removed, THEN they'll come after your guns so you can't fight to get them restored. The party of old white rich men are destroying this country, and their hollow lies about President Obama won't stand during this next election. Vote EVEERY republican out of office. NONE of them are good for you or the country.

Just need some clarification. What's the issue? That now voting would need photo ID? If that is the case ( please correct me if I am wrong I'm confused ) then that should be an assumed part of voting. I mean you need ID for everything else you do that puts your name on government files and health stuff. When I go to vote I need my id and something with my adress on it so why is a piece of ID is so bad when it is really supposed to be an assumed part of security?

i agree Latinos who come here have the highest out of wedlock birth rate of any immigrant group. we pay for them and they also have the highest high school drop out rate and they take the low skilled low wage jobs away from Americans it is time for massive deportations. and by the way look at the crime rate with large populations of Latinos. tel me were i am wrong in my facts? not opinions facts! your turn!
