the title of the song is "kinostar" and is written by ralph benatzky. he wrote it for the musical "axel an der himmelstür" (could be translated as "axel on heaven's door"), starring zarah live on stage as gloria mills, a hollywood moviestar, inspired by greta garbo. the world premiere took place on sept. 1, 1936 in the vienna theatre "theater an der wien". there's no film version. it was a great success.
