This is a revision of my Voices video. Think this is much better than my first one... I've learned how to use my program better since then... I changed some pictures, added some effects, and tried hard to put the pictures in sync with the lyrics. Again, I based this video on an English translation that I found on the Net.

Here's the lyrics:

The first word is dream
from my sleep
the darkness within my heart
it gently takes out

The second word was wind
telling me my destination
into the arms of a god
I flap my wings

As if counting sad things
that have melted away
a golden apple
falls again

A view I haven't seen
there I will return
in this one life
I will find my way

Book of old magic
a drop of moon on a curtain of night
only a hunch that someday we can meet

we can fly
we have wings
we can touch floating dreams
call me from so far
through the wind
in the light

The third word is hum...
when you strain your ears
your trembling arms
I will gently release...

And again, this is dedicated to my friend from high school, Stephen Schuldt, who's in the Navy at the moment, and though he's not a pilot, he loves flying. :)

  • @IToMoTI Thank you very much :)

  • I have all of Yoko Kanno's music downloaded already, but I'm going to buy all of it when I get a chance. She's too great of a composer for me to not pay her for her work! This song just reminds me of that.

  • @bigbenhoward Yeah, she's amazing :) I wish I could pay for her music too... I first discovered her music in Cowboy Bebop, and went from there. :) if you haven't already, be sure to check out her beautiful instrumental piece, The Man In The Desert. It's my favorite of hers. I may try to make a video for it one of these days, if I get around to it. :) Thanks for your comment :)

  • @edwardtulane82 Ah, thank you for that title. I don't think I've heard that one before. It was very beautiful, as usual from Yoko Kanno.

  • @bigbenhoward you're welcome :)
