Flying my Multiplex EasyStar above Viikki in Helsinki, Finland. Pretty windy conditions, gyros on elevator and rudder. In the beginning of video until the first cut, gyros are switched off.

  • nice video , what do the gyros do? and do they work well/?

  • @marka1236 Thanks. Gyros are used to stabilize the flight, i.e. they sense changes in pitch/roll and try correct it automatically. However, it was a slight disappointment as you can see on the video. From the ground it looks more stable, but the video is still quite shaky.. Have to adjust and experiment more :)

  • @ktuukkan Do the gyros require a lot of power? Do they also need extra channels too? I'm new at this. Thanks.

  • @muffdriver69 Gyros don't require much extra power, I'm using 2500mAh 3s-lipo which is far enough for this setup. Extra channels are used to adjust gyro gain or to turn them off (i.e. zero gain). My setup has own channel for each gyro so that I can adjust them individually, but a single channel with Y-lead would be ok too.

  • @ktuukkan Extra channels? Really? :( Are you using a 12 channel Remote or something? Because I"m using a Futaba 2.4 GHz 6EX and they are all used up. 1: Rudder 2: Elevator 3: ESC/Throttle 4: Camera Pan 5: Aileron 6: OSD Autopilot toggle Can't I just manually adjust it or something? What would you recommend? Also, what does 3s/4s/5s on lipo mean? Sorry, I'm a newbie at this. Thanks friend!
  • sorry, but without gyro i can fly better
