floyd one of my favourite fighters of all time man name me one fighter that knocks a guy down and straight away tries to pick him up he was to gentlemen like but in the johannson rematch he showed that tiger that was hidden in him and he said it scared him but imagine if he showed that in all his fights definately had the potential to be top 5 of all time but still is 1 of the greats but his losses to ali liston well they weighed about 30-40 lbs more than no fighter in these days would do that

Patterson has some seriously short arms. With his style, it's no wonder he couldn't stay at the top with those stubs.  He's like Terry Norris; both were pretty successful for having nubs for arms, although Norris had some power and that makes up for a lot. Patterson had the speed of a middleweight, which makes up for a lot. Sadly, he had the chin of one too.

I went to high school with Tom. Played on the football team wiht him. He did a good jobe at Michigaqn State's football team with his brother Brian. I listened to the fight in the army in Stuttgart Germany. He was tough guy.
