Not quite sure what Holmes fans were upset about. The great detective is played straight by Douglas Wilmer. The comedy revolves around his brother Wilder.I've been a Holmes fan myself for almost 57 yrs. & find nothing wrong with it.

Saw this yesterday and almost died. Where has this classic been hiding. Almost as funny as "Hyde's got nothing to hide..ooh ooh ohh" LMAO

Glorious!! Any chance you could put up the scene where they're putting on the party scene in Verdi's A Masked Ball? (the opera scene). I'd be eternally grateful!

This scene had me laughing to tears as a kid, when Wilder whipped the other fellow until his clothes were shreds and then they fight with the big glove and boot on top of the carriage...HILARIOUS!
