Bella's Lullaby by Carter Burwell

A lot of people trying to play this piece seem to have trouble with the left hand octave (+1) chords, so I basically just dropped off the top note of the left hand, to make it much easier to play. Also it's an easier way to get the rest of the piece and you can always add the third note on the left hand when you feel more confident.

This is the sheet music I used, with modification to the left hand:

My piano teacher would be so proud... oh wait, I never had a piano teacher! lol.

  • This sounds so beautiful. Thank you for posting it! It is very nice to listen to without all of the other instruments in the background. Very nicely done! :D

  • Thanks!! :)

  • it sounded pretty, but the left hand chords weren't lining up correctly with the music as they should. you were playing more like half notes in the beginning than dotted quarters followed by dotted halves. and some of the right hand notes after the more main melodies sounded a little weird too.

    otherwise, not too bad. :)

  • As I mentioned, I've never had piano lessons, so my goal was not to be correct, just to play an easier version that sounded nice. I was thinking of beginners who would like to play the song, there are enough professional versions on you tube :)

  • Lovily.. I wish i could play like you. I have tryed to play and i find it difficault being left handed and not being able to read notes.

  • link is not working, could u post the chords u used?

    thanks

  • no offense or anything, but your left hand and right hand parts are not matching up, thus making it sound like it's in 3/4

  • beautiful - one of best versions i have heard. also i have to play with just two, i cant reach all three.

  • Thats how I play as well. my hands are too short to reach 3.

  • lol, yes, I saw that. I wasn't saying anything to be mean. I just was stating something to perhaps help you in the future. You are quite right, there are many versions, professional or not, on youtube. lol
