This video is created for the Humanities (HSS 205) Class "Technology & American Society" at Northeastern Technical College. In Part 4: "Atlantic Trade," instructor J. Michael Jeffries describes the impact of Atlantic Trade on the North American Colonies and Great Britain. These colonies were established as a mode of fueling Mercantilism for Industrialized Britain. As mercantilism flourished the North American Colonies felt exploited by Britain and began to embrace the ideas of revolution. For further research please see Stephen J. Hornsby's "British Atlantic, American Frontier: Spaces of Power in Early Modern British America" (University Press of New England, 2005).
