This was a very bold song to write during the late 40s, early 50s.

Where is the rest of the song? It was so true then and is just as true now. Hate is easily taught.

I do NOT have a copy, but I too wept with Joy not only for Mandy's amazing Bali Hai, but also because he sang this song so wonderfully - It was my introduction to the sensitivity of Hammerstein to racial issues, and how this message so powerfully exposed those who promote hatred as small minds and puny hearts.

I came here to see if I can find Brian Mitchell's "This Nearly Was Mine", which also broke my heart in it's sublime beauty and sadness ...
