In the latest stage of the marketisation of education and research, the government has begun cutting billions from the university budget, while announcing plans to triple tuition fees. 50,000 gathered in London to voice their discontent. Thousands laid siege to the Conservative Party headquarters in Millbank Towers and hundreds made it inside.

Burntoaktree - agree 100%.
Where were all the poor students? Oh that's right, they were probably in lectures making the most of their education opportunity..!
All the 'poor students' are here obviously, with their designer clothes and iphones.... Is that what they have spent their student loans on, I wonder???

You students think that just because you are angry about having to pay fees you have got the right to attack police, smash up private property and riot! Well try telling that to the judge when you are up in court on riot charges in a few weeks time!

Unlike the (estimated) 95% of people who run round youtube with their own political agendas, I can safely say all three major parties have failed on this issue (Tony Blair in 1997 introducing them at all when they of course would rise at some point ... Which happens to be now.) and Lib/Con together. Remember though the Liberal Democrats have to make big compromises. These individuals seen here have also failed by doing this stuff around the building. So all fail apart from peaceful protesters.
