Tulane: Why We Came Back - 2009 Commencement

The class of 2009 was displaced from Tulane for five months, yet returned to New Orleans to earn a degree and help the city rebuild post-Katrina. The class got some sincere "thank yous" far and wide, from citizens like Drew Brees and Brian Williams, and elected officials like Mary Landrieu, Joe Biden and Bill Clinton.

The greatest comeback since Lazarus! I love what Brian Williams says: "There would not be a New Orleans ... without all of my friends at Tulane..." Makes me proud to work at Tulane University.

my cousin was a member of the class of 2009 & it was a great class. I'm so glad they were here for my freshman year at Tulane. They made it amazing.
