Amy Myers Jaffe, Wallace S. Wilson Fellow in Energy Studies at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, briefly discusses energy efficiency and the emerging renewable-energies space. Terry A. Michalske, director for Energy Innovation Initiatives at Sandia National Laboratories, talks about the need for cultural change around energy efficiency and significant new innovations in energy infrastructure.

The T. T. Chao Symposium on Innovation is made possible through the generosity of the Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Foundation. This annual event is designed to bring together established and emerging leaders in the technical, entrepreneurial, and policy arenas to think constructively about how Houstons industrial and entrepreneurial heritage can be adapted to address society's needs in the 21st century.
