A short documentary (finally remastered in glorious HD) uncovering the people and ideas behind the Large Hadron Collider. Four scientists guide us through their part of the search for, among other things, the Higgs Boson, sometimes called the God Particle.

You can also watch a shorter version that aired on Current TV here:

  • amazing but why does it matter, just too mind boggling... LIVE life. dont waste life finding out how you live... lol ;)

  • This is brilliant...

Also brilliant is the fact that so many females are involved in this profound scientific adventure, its a sad fact that the science field is overwhelmed by males, so its pleasant to see women holding their own. So ladies, take note.

  • thank you for the share.. :)

  • simply, take a two guns and make sure the bullets collide, you have a bigger and cheaper version of the LHC but only problem is that its no fast enough

  • that is not to look for a freaking particle..in my opinion..octigonal shape.?.its something else..why do we need so much elecronics to look at what is at the core of nature..? there is a planet in the system i saw on utube that has that octegonal shape swirling at the top of it..are they trying to creat that? dots..connecting..and project camelot vid with a similar scematic pic , from a channeler, who is disgussing 200 yr planet earth evac and basic destruction..

    she has this scematic ..wierd.

  • The energy bill for the hadron collier come to approx $30,000 a day. So that's where our tax money went!

  • @Ironybleeds Many countries contribute several billions of dollars...

  • And to think that US Congress prevented this from being built in the US. Heh, Dr Research, also known as Dr Frank Baxter, makes cameo appearances. :)

  • Is the world going to end on the 30th?

  • @Ironybleeds Mostly the national science budgets of the participating countries.
