C-Royd teaches Third Strike - Kara Cancels part 1: Throws

oh man, i'm so bored here in a foreign land two whole hours away from Toronto!

this video is an introduction to Kara cancels. Just showing you some kara throws. The timing for cancelling a normal move into throws is jussssst slightly faster than a P-Link in SF4 or a Roll Cancel in CVS1 and CVS2. This is a very important part of getting better so please practice them in front of your PS2/Cabinet.

Like, when I taught my friends how to play, I taught them Chun Li first because one is more likely to pick up on these basics and get OK with Chun Li. Fair enough. @DarkFayte actually that's not completely true since you can kara cancel normal moves that don't move you forward at all. obviously you don't want to use those normals. do the ones in this vid. easiest is probably akuma, cuz it's pretty visible and you can hear him grunt.

@DarkFayte you move forward at least a little when you do it. just contrast it with doing a regular throw and you can see the difference (as you see in this vid).
