100mph is nothing now, but back then it was quick. My first car, a Triumph Herald, was flat out at about 75mph. Even at that speed it was not safe. With drum bakes all round it took an age to stop.

@davidmcn My mum was 4 when this was on the air. Love watching old programming, and I am 21 in 2011. Probably won't find alot of 21 year old's who are the same.
