Mine is 10 years old, with a 2007 engine. And the quality is really really bad even on the 2007 engine. It broke after 3500kms, big end bearing.. First engine lasted 10.000 kms, but was faulty from the factory. I have had everything breaking down, cables, alternator, gearbox, engine..(pistons, bearings, name it). Paint is flaking off, things rust after the bike has been left out in the rain for 15 minutes..RE? never again.

Had mine up to about 85 which is an interesting experience. Sounds a bit like a chain saw in a metal dustbin......... great fun , I love it!

The classic does not have a kick start, but the other EFI models do. I never use my kick start on my EFI DL.

60 - 65 mph is a comfortable cruising speed, and 70 - 80 mph easily attainable.
There is a useful article on the differences between the two models at Real Classic Magazine (see Bullet EFi)
