This scene is even better after you watch Before Sunset. because that is what happens and there unhappy because they werent together, but they were married to other people.

this is not as the usual plot aristotelian type .first the initial contact (start) that a misunderstanding forces the seperation (climax )and then the final reunion when misunderstoodmend resolves(end).but it has an existensial one . the significent of the meeting-in-the-world only is magnified by the common knoledged final-End wich is the sunrise . this take up from whrere other romance films finish with a "andthay lived hapylyever after"that ever after .

neither has acted in this movie. it looks so natural like two strangers meeting and enjoying each others company. that's how acting should be - just as if they're not acting at all.

To me, this is the pivotal part of the movie.
If Jesse had not gotten up the courage to do the hard sale, they would have just passed on as strangers. This scene makes the romance work.
