  • I can't believe this is an english-made film.

An english film about a german pilot? With low- to zero propaganda in it? Thats more then you could expect from any other film, german or not, since german films do mostly the same anti-german propaganda shit... Visible, or not. In fact this film is without biased viewings. A film without hatred or distortion. Worth watching.

  • thank you for this great movie !!!

i read the book of the adventure of franz von werra.

It really impressed me...he was a great man.

Now i try to get this movie in german language....

Greetings from a german from Bremen.

  • Thank you Versailles 1919, for uploading this superb film.

  • This video is a favorite on Uzbekistan

  • I saw this film when it first came out. I enjoyed it, but spotted a blooper right at the start: the Messerschmidt 109 cockpit canopy opened to the right, not the left. Still a good film, though.

  • @Versailles1919-Thanks so much. Searched for this a long time.

  • He was probably the only German who got back home, due to the fact they were well taken care of. My mother has a friend who was a glider pilot for the Germans. He was still touring the UK with a British guard long after the war had ended. He refused to sign a piece of paper saying that Hitler was not a nice person. I think he just knew how awful it was in Germany and didn't want to go home. You mention a place in Britain and he has been there.

  • @000000AEA000000 yes im uk. I agree.

  • classic easy watch
