Second update of my first year of growing hops, they have been in the ground for two months, planted on MAY 5 2009 and this was filmed on JULY 5. first update was June 5. alot of growth in the last month

  • Too bad about your Willamette. I wouldn't have thought rabits would eat hops.

    Your other bines are doing pretty good, the Cascade is turning into quite the monster!

  • I'll replant the Willamette next spring, the cascade bine on the left is now 2 foot over the top of the trellice

  • Wow I'm jealous!! I planted mine but they are only 2 feet tall so far. It has been really cold here this summer in northern Michigan.

  • With 1st year Cascades growing like that, you had better watch out for next year. Mine grew about 8 or 9 feet last year in their first year, and this year 20 feet or more.

    Continuing to look really good.
