  • He is afraid of Ron Paul

  • Not necessarily! I'm a voracious Ron Paul supporter but definitely DO NOT support Sarah Palin! And I am NOT a racist and definitely NOT White TRASH! Get your facts straight about what's really going on here. Following the Constitution has nothing to do w/ being a racist, on the contrary, all the government manipulations over the years has caused much oppression to many!

  • favorite part: "oh, what an asshole."

you just berated him and gave a standing ovation to a critic for about 10 minutes, and he's an asshole? Most people would've been pissed.

  • So lame. Look at all the Dr. Paul trolls already on here crowding the place up.

Paul scares me too, not least because he has weird supporters who place some cult of personality on him.

  • I can't get into your head so I can't confirm if you are racist or not, but I think RP is a racist because he is a man who has power over minorities and uses it to keep them down.

In a way I think all conservative politicians are racist because they are oppressive of progressive policies (which help the vast majority of people of color).

So you may not be intentionally racist but by aligning yourself with an anti-liberal ideology you are nontheless hurting minorities.

  • Let's not resort to calling each other names. I must also say I've never heard anyone refer to believing in negative rights as "racist or white supremacist." I'm a little confused as to how you make that conclusion. Like Paul, I too oppose positive rights, but as I said since the majority of the 1964 CR Act actually deals with negative rights, I think it's extremely important despite a few minor flaws. Does that make me a racist?

  • Well it's more than a suspicion. I think that based on his voting record and his associations that he is at the very least a white supremacist.

Don't act like white supremacist thought is not alive and well in the conservative movement.

All you need to do is look at Ron Paul and the GOP.

  • If the only proof you have is a "suspicion" that he is a white supremacist, then why are you going around calling him one? That's just baseless slander.

And since you think he's against civil rights and equality because he disagrees with the "Civil Rights Act" are you also the kind of person that thinks he's against patriotism because he opposes the "Patriot Act"? Titles mean very little. You have to read the legislation. Do you honestly think that discrimination can fix past injustices?

  • Ron Paul! Of course they want to smear him! He is the last voice of the people, Ron Paul and no other Repulican! If no Ron Paul for me, I go lp or cp!

  • xsleef, Paulbot: Patriotic Americans Uplifting Liberty Battling Oppressive Tyranny There ya go. :)
  • Just because he has black friends doesn't preclude him from being white supremacist.

I don't KNOW if he is and I don't know how to prove it (nor do I want to), but I just have the suspicion that he is since he opposes the Civil Rights Act.

  • You must be the kind of person who thinks anyone opposed to the Patriot Act is unpatriotic. Look into the Civil Rights act and the constitutionality thereof. The Congress has no enumerated power to enforce so-called "positive rights" onto the states or individuals.

If you want to ignore the Constitution, that means the Federal Government can do anything it very well pleases. The colossal injustice of the bailouts are a good example of where this line of thinking has gotten us.
