My personal opinions addressing the benefits of building your own AR15 vs. buying one.

  • I disagree. Mine was over $900 with shipping. It could have been a lot cheaper if I had ordered some parts offline rather than buy them at a local gun shop. If I had, the total cost would have been in the low $800 price range.

  • If I were to buy an upper and a lower, is it easy to connect the two? Do i need any special tools or gunsmithing?

  • @chrisfromoh AR15s are very easy to take apart and put together. They simply have two take down pins that separate the upper receiver and lower receiver. No tools, just your fingers.

  • bullshit basic, my brother got a smith and wesson m&p with magpul furnature and a red dot site for 1300.

  • @ChazOneZeroSeven You obviously are missing the point. I don't know if you realize this or not, but he could have built an AR15 with magpul furniture for less than that. Even with the red dot.

  • Has anyone ever told you that you sound like Seth Rogen?

  • @thehunter4484 Honestly, no. I can't say anyone has ever said that to me before.

  • This is a great video. I have a PWS MK116 and there really isn't much I would do to it except for buying a red dot sight and a tac light. Now that I have that beauty, I can have patience in buying a part here and there to build one exactly as I want. Black and OD Green, 20" barrel. Or maybe 14" with a suppressor. Hmmmm.....

  • Definitely agree with you for the most part sir. If you're patient, you can get what you want, and spend less doing so. I, on the other hand, am not patient. So I spent the money and bought one. Luckily, I found one that had just about everything I wanted, so minor changes wont be a huge budget breaker. Nice piece though. Hope it works for you. Godspeed.

  • I’m looking into buying an AR 15. My neighbor just purchased one from a local gun dealer here in Washington State for $575. I don’t know much about AR 15’s or guns for that matter, YET. The gun looks great. It’s all black, but pretty basic compared to some of the ones I’ve seen here on YT.

  • Idaho! AR15 600$

  • @bygoran Lets learn basic English grammar before we criticize someone based on semantics (especially when they're right)....O.o

  • @SparksTactical so if i buy an upper and lower i can just connect the 2 pins and bring her to the range and she will shoot? It can't be that simple and cheap..

  • @ChazOneZeroSeven Sigs? What Sig are you referring too? Last sig I remember hearing about that had any malfunctions was the P238. Heard only good things about the M400 and 522 series rifles. I don't keep up with the 556 variants, which is a completely different rifle.

  • @shaokem sigs are well known for their malfunctioning aren't they

  • @bygoran Building a rifle would mean from the ground up, every part. Assembling a rifle would simply be what you do every time you put your upper and lower back together after cleaning it.

  • @spekdoc3 Yeah... not a whole lot of info out there yet. My local Walmart was sold out of the Sig Enhanced M400. They had 10 of them in stock and they all sold out in less than 5 days. Hopefully I'll get around to picking one up later this week when they get more in.
