This is just one of those videos so stupid that I have to comment. Penn and teller never ever said that Ingrid Newkirk had diabetes. Pull your head out of your ass and watch it again, Mary Beth Sweetland the vice president of Peta does have diabetes and has admitted to taking insulin that contains animal products.

In the video I told people to watch their little penn and teller epsiode again and they would have found out that Sweetland has diabetes not Newkirk. It was nessary to use an animal to gain understanding about how to treat diabetes because no healthy and sane person would volunteer to have their organs removed for the sake of research.

@Kenazzle INSULIN does not have animal products in it. It is synthetic. You can only get animal based insulin on special license and it's very difficult to get permission. NOBODY is asking anybody to not take drugs that were tested on animals. What use would that be? It won't bring them back or ease the torture they went through then. Peta is working NOW to stop all this completely unnecessary testing on animals. There are other more reliable options now.
