Epilepsy has existed for thousands of years yet remains a medical challenge. Are there any new medications or new treatments on the horizon?

Neurologist Dr. David King-Stephens, an expert in the field of new treatments, finds it an enticing time with the breadth of new treatments for epilepsy on the horizon. He offers general descriptions of new medicines and new surgical treatments now in testing.

Dr. King-Stephens is the Director of Clinical Neurophsiology at CPMC in San Francisco and a board member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California.

  • Thanks for your comment. Haven't seen any articles or evidence that PC time is a trigger. Only thing that's close for a very small % of patients is flashing lights.
