@ostgeschichte I have read reports which suggest, if you meet a normal person in North Korea, they will Ignore you.
I have also read reports where they take Tourists to these big arena's, where more people are performing than watching.
As a British Subject I believe it is time to pressure my government into placing more pressure on both North & South Korea, to remove the Minefield, sign up to the nuculer weapons program and to end the cease fire and have peace.

@MINIHermanator: People do neither approach nor ignore you. We said hello toa lot of people and wished hem a nice day. All of them gave us a big smile and answered. But that was in the capital, Pyongyang, where tourists mostly are. I guess in a village it would be different.

@umberloid: The Song is called "Spinning Wheel Ballad" from a CD I bought in N.Korea. It is a CD with North Korean Folk Music from 1995...

@Silligk: Do you really think the North Korean authorities would kill a tourist for filming... Mostly very nice things? They would rather have asked me to delete the files. What makes you think tourists get killed over there? For what purpose? It makes no sense. North Korea wants to push tourism - they open new regions for tourism every year...

@EpicAwesomness100: It felt okay, actually. Of course you are never by yourself, two guides are always with you, and sometimes other "spies" seemed to watch. But I never felt threatened or uncomfortable. All the North Koreans I met (of course not regular people, only those that are allowed to meet tourists) were extremely friendly and sometimes even were up to some joking and laughing. North Korea might be a very strange, secluded country, but the people are very nice and helpful.

@Brian19D: No, there is no cellular network for tourists and anyway, you have to leave your cell at the airport (they give it back to you when you leave). There is no internet. Well at the hotel for like 5$ / 250KB or so.
