The Cambodian rail service from Phnom Penh to Battambang runs only once a week and takes a painstaking 14 hours to complete! But its all about the journey not the destination. The train cuts through some beautiful Cambodian Countryside and there are spectacular Jungle views. The friendliness, Hospitality and curiosity of the locals is also an experience to savour.
look like a fun journey to me.

@AnasAlex10 : I've heard, that there is no trainservice anymore in Cambodia since a few years. I am really sad about it, because I visit Cambodia in December and also would have liked to go with this train :-(

I hope that the private sector can invest in railroad sector. The train is very old--have they had inspection at all? Sad to see,but it seems like people have fun riding it though. Be careful people on the roof.
On the other hand, bus and many other public transportation seem to hav quite improvement excpet the railroad. Where are you from? 14 hrs on the the train, I don't think I can make it. Happy to see you.
