The Cambodian rail service from Phnom Penh to Battambang runs only once a week and takes a painstaking 14 hours to complete! But its all about the journey not the destination. The train cuts through some beautiful Cambodian Countryside and there are spectacular Jungle views. The friendliness, Hospitality and curiosity of the locals is also an experience to savour.

Thanks for the upload..I enjoy watching it very much, again thank you!

  • it is definitely unforgettable journey, but i recommend u travel in group , it will be might fun , cos u can sit on roof of train and have look cambodian farm scenery.

  • @AnasAlex10 : I've heard, that there is no trainservice anymore in Cambodia since a few years. I am really sad about it, because I visit Cambodia in December and also would have liked to go with this train :-(

  • wow hung that was a great video, i want to do that next time i go to cambodia. you are also brave to have did that by yourself haah just be careful because somtimes things can go wrong when your alone outside the city. but it look like it turned out great!!

  • I hope that the private sector can invest in railroad sector. The train is very old--have they had inspection at all? Sad to see,but it seems like people have fun riding it though. Be careful people on the roof.

On the other hand, bus and many other public transportation seem to hav quite improvement excpet the railroad. Where are you from? 14 hrs on the the train, I don't think I can make it. Happy to see you.
