This is a non-commercial attempt to highlight the fact that world leaders, irresponsible corporates and mindless 'consumers' are combining to destroy life on earth. It is dedicated to all who died fighting for the planet and those whose lives are on the line today. The cut was put together by Vivek Chauhan, a young film maker, together with naturalists working with the Sanctuary Asia network (www.sanctuaryasia.com).

Content credit: The principal source for the footage was Yann Arthus-Bertrand's incredible film HOME http://www.homethemovie.org/. The music was by Armand Amar. Thank you too Greenpeace and http://timescapes.org/

  • @datiecher1 You cut the crap and stop talking to ppl as if they were children, idiot!

  • After watching this video I'm now going to be more respectful to the earth. I'm now a eco friendly person and I'm proud :)

  • I'm sorry lol - didn't read the inscription very well =X

  • Beautiful video =) - I want to know who the background music is from! really like that

  • @usaearthling The world wasn't 'meant' to be destroyed. We, as humans of this world on this very planet, should be working together in keeping this world's life going. It's sad that it's slowly dying, and we're failing to try and protect it. There are many beautiful things still existing, and I'm pretty sure none of us here want them to go to waste.

  • I have so much respect for the people who put their lives on the line and those that already have. Those heroes like Dian Fossey had to die so some bastard could line his floor with gorilla fur and for those who are still whaling i really hope someone sinks them. And i still can't believe there are bastards out there who club seals to death, hopefully one day they might fall through the ice or get attacked by a polar bear it would serve the bastards right!

  • Poke a lion with a sharp stick .. see what happens? Gaia has claws too and is about at the end of her patience she won't let the likes of us destroy her, she can wipe us out in 3 weeks by blocking the sun with a global volcanic ash cloud. After 3 wks all things green will be dead, those who don't starve will be murdered by those hunting food and then us for food. In this year, 2012 we are in transition, will we make it to our next evolutionary step? 31st March 2012 Trafalgar Sq. London be there!
