MAC 2008 Junior Champ Standard Final 1/2

The junior champs are amazing! Watch carefully for 275: they were my absolute favorites. He's one of the youngest leaders on the floor, and much shorter than his amazing partner. But their technique, energy, and floorcraft are so good, it's impossible not to like their dancing! They finished second, which is really great for such a tough comp.

This part features Waltz, Tango, and Viennese Waltz. Watch Part 2 for the remaining two dances: Foxtrot and Quickstep.

I've just checked: the Junior II section is for 14-15 year olds. Not sure how strict this rule is enforced (especially in the case of mixed couples): the 275 leader seems obviously younger than 14 for me.

@Katekazoo It is, a bit. If the man is really good then it'll look easy. There are a lot of steps you can use to change course anyways :)

@Katekazoo It's called floor craft. The man has to find a way to avoid other couples. Most times, this causes the couple to disregard their routine and use other steps to find another route.

Well I'm from Lithuania and I just turned 13 years and I'm dancing at Junior II like two years already. It sucks when you always get last place :D

how are they supposed to stop from coliding with others? i mean it must be really hard.however , they dance beautifuly
