This was a difficult weekly puzzle - everything after fixing position at 0:32 in the video (0:28 on the puzzle timer) was essentially solution by brute force (i.e. exploration by trial & error). My solution would be a lot better if I had pursued some explorations a bit longer - but in a time-based competition, it's hard to keep track of everything.
