@RE1206 It is highly discouraged to carry at half cock. It can still discharge accidentally at half cock.

@easycompany34 This is meant to be an instruction video for those who load 6 rounds and ride the hammer down to the loaded chamber. This is one of those things that many people aren't aware of. Many people also don't know that dryfiring or spinning the barrel is bad. Can't tell you how many times I've seen people do this with range rentals.

Where could I find a cartridge converted 1851 for sale? Pietta offers cap'n ball models and Uberti's 1851 is engraved, which I dislike...

no offense but its not really difficult to load a cartridge conversion, the colt 1851 navy single action was a cap and ball revolver, which is a bit more complicated to load
