I go to school with Bruce Bells Son!

@Synthesis17 i completely understand your point and agree with you but clarke did leave his feet although it was a great hit that would instantly be a penalty now a days as back there they were more leniant
-
@Jaymon1203213 I didn't say it was a dirty hit. The meaning being is by today's NHL standards it would be considered dirty. But in those days it was the classic finish of a check. That's all. I was just comparing how the league would view things in their respected eras. Geez!

@DehumanizingSounds How in the hell was that a dirty hit? No strides before the check,. all shoulder, no elbow. That's as clean and devastating a hit you'll find in pro hockey.
There still are hits like that in hockey (to an extent), but what I miss is the teams getting pissed off at each other. Rivalries are few and far between these days. If a player did what gilmour did in that clip nowadays, he'd get a penalty for it.
It's hockey. It gets brutal, players get pissed off. Let 'em play!

@Badurapilla AND ONE OF THE WORST COACHS ALL ALL TIME
-
haha i live by bruce bell but now hes a hockey coach
-
@DehumanizingSounds ha! if clark had been in the league today, cooke would have been too scared to pull his bullshit. besides, clark never went for knees...just look at him laying out fetisov if you want to see his take on such matters
-
Is this what they mean...having your Bell rung?
Clark is an animal! and people say that hockey has gotten tougher and more dangerous. i'd rather be on the ice with any of the current NHLers than with Clark or Probert.
and anyone else notice that headshots didn't frequently appear until the NHL tried to make the game faster and "better"? yeah, good job guys.
