  • What a storyteller! Full of compassion. Compelling. You continue to inspire us, Artie.

  • RIP Artie....wonderful musician!!

  • Didn't know he had passed. He and Happy used to come to the Indian Neck Folk Festival I helped run with friends in New Haven, CT and at Yale back in the early to late 60s. We will miss him. Michael

  • As a Acadian-Cajun, this is a very special song to me! Artie was not Acadian, but like Robbie Robertson, was touched by the story of the brutal deportation from our homeland. Though this tragedy happened centuries ago, our story touched those poet's hearts and they were compelled to write songs about it. Thanks so much to them both.. especially to Artie for this one. He was a remarkable singer-songwriter-guitar player-producer.. actually a legendary one who was also a very humble spirit. RIP !

  • what a heart-felt artist...all the time his eyes was closed and he just enjoyed the song..

great musician and guitar lesson giver :-)

  • I saw him perform at a house concert in Agoura Hills, Calif. It was a real treat to see him.

  • ええ声~~~~!

    nice Voice!

  • Like him being here.oh, i miss him.

  • Horrible shock to read late up there in the right hand corner. I met him 5 years or so ago. A great player and a good bloke. Rest in peace Artie

  • I met Artie in Gilroy, California, thanks Rocco of Gilroy Guitar Gallery for bringing him. He gave a great performance and was just wonderful. I told him that he reminded me of Joe Pass and next thing I knew he was hugging me and telling me that was the best compliment he ever received. I am so glad that I bought his cd and had him autograph it.

What a sweet man he was. I am so sadden by his passing but I know the his soul never died - nor his music!
