Anthony "Amp" Elmore is a 5 time World Karate Kickboxing Champion and a 1971 graduate of Hamilton High School in Memphis. Elmore was asked to speak at a Hamilton High School Vocational class program titled "Striving to make a Difference." Elmore made this speech in March of 1995. Elmore recalls his days at Hamilton High when he 1st started studying Karate and he explains that in as back as 1971 Elmore was involved in his African Heritage. In 1990 Elmore traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to premier his autobiographical movie titled "The Contemporary Gladiator." Elmore visit to Kenya changed his life and he realized that it was a part of his life's mission to build better relationships between African and African/American people. Elmore begin promoting tours to Kenya and he this this for 10 years. Elmore married a Kenyan wife and met the President of Kenya who at the time was Daniel Arap Moi who Elmore mentions in his speech. In 1998 Elmore traveled to Accra, Ghana and became an African designer. In 2009 Elmore designed an African Style Mudcloth Tuxedo for President Obama that was accepted by the White House. Elmore created the 1st "All African Home" in America and he has created more 21st Century African products than anyone in the world. Elmore current goal to to promote the world's 1st Homecoming celebration where African/Americans are honored with the world's 1st state reception where they are welcomed back as citizens of America but family to Africa.
