Once a year during the first warm wet nights of the spring, hundreds of thousands of salamanders migrate to vernal pools for mating and hunting. This video contains images of amphibians in a vernal pool at Roots School in East Calais, Vermont. Mostly of spotted salamanders with a couple of red efts and a green frog, this video was challenging and fun to shoot and put together.
