Denzel for President (Glory)

This is a scene taken from the movie Glory. In this scene, Denzel, a runaway slave, explains that he ran away from TN when he was 12 and then tells us what he's been up to since then.

I thought, in light of the current election, this was especially funny. I wonder, if Denzel were reminded of this line today, what he would think.

Black History Fact: during the Reconstruction Era, just a few short years after this quote was supposedly made, there were more Black congressmen in the 38 United States than there are currently in the 50.
