  • This is a touching statement of why any soldier goes to war. Very often we are unable to verbalize why we fight.

Cpl Grenon has reached into the soul of many of us [soldiers of today and those of us who were soldiers in the past] and eloquently expressed the reason we fight.

I salute Cpl Grenon for the sacrifice he made for his children and mine. He has put to rest a little part of me that has struggled over why I was in Vietnam as an U.S. soldier.

    God Bless his memory ------
