@AnimeChick2015 I understand it as a girl talking to a guy who isn't/doesn't want to be in touch with his feelings, and she's saying he could be better then that. And maybe that they've known each other for a long time and she remembers him being fun and the two of them enjoying life together. I think haha.

@joewu1981 Hey genius, I think the person asking what a headlock is isn't a native English speaker. Even English speakers could easily miss the "held down" aspect of the metaphor if they aren't aware that it's a fighting move that restricts one's movement considerably (and painfully).

Simply hypnotizing sound, nice voice. The metophoric lyrics are great. When I found this song, I wished I was a ballet dancer. It sounds like it would be perfect for that. GREAT SONG!!!

Well, headlock is a wrestling move. I don't actually watch or know anything about wrestling so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

@Ifrah123 a headlock is basically when the attacker grabs the victims head and clamps it in between the attackers ribcage and inner elbow. sometimes the attacker will punch the defender with his free hand. I know this because I am a first degree black belt

when someone puts u in a headlock, u can move. the person the some is talking about put their heart in a "head lock", not allowing it to move anywhere. their fear of loving has them in a heart headlock. make since? I'm not great at explaining things. =)
