CUTTING THE COPPER HEAT-PIPES WILL DESTROY THE COOLER THERE IS A GAS LIKE THE ONE IN FRIDGES AND AIR CONDITIONS SO WHEN YOU CUT THE HEAT-PIPES IT EVAPORATES AND ITS USELESS !!!

I know this video is old now, but I have a 4870 with a jinxed heat sink fan and this heat sink you have in the video is the least expensive I can find. So I'm assuming it will work on a 4870 also?

@Num1shark Can you take some measures for me how much it sticks out from the card and in both directions?
-
@KuulabTK ??there is no coolant liquid inside? Every one knows that any gas filled heat pipes should be properly crimped before cutting or modding. I have been modding computer parts for years, all my stuff works perfect.

Works pretty well, before installing this cooler my gpu had 120 degrees, now it has max 54 degrees. Thanks for nice idea:)

What's the name of the song? thx
YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER CUT THE HEAT PIPES. it will render it useless.

@Num1shark if you cut the heatpipe it doesnt work... do you even know how they work?? there is a water or some other liquid in them and when it evaporates it heats the other side so it MUST be closed
so the one that you cut isnt working...

@error262 ...Just like I told the last guy, every time before I made a cut, the pipe was crimped and/or soldered. I'm getting tired of dumb comments, its not heart surgery, it all works perfect.

is there some way to use this without loosing the abiility to cool ram?
starsiegeplayer 1 year ago
@starsiegeplayer you use the stock cooler for the ram and the Accels1 cooler for the GPU. Just cut the stock cooler. Sorry this video is old and I guess no one got the point. I should make a new video
