top vid! I would never race post & rope, it's sooo unforgiving, especialy these days with the speed the bangers are getting. Don't think it will be long before the health and safety brigade put a stop to full contact racing at these types of tracks. Have seen and heard of too many injury's (some fatal) these last couple of years and that's on oval's with armco barriers.
i think banger racing will be nothing like this in a few years time and will probably end up like that crap they do in america.

@NYR09 u would be surprised that not many people get hurt and virtually never killed

to finish 10 laps first, take cars out on the way round or be taken out ! or help a team mate win by jacking up other drivers

@NYR09 believe it or not it is quite safe, the cars are fully stripped so in a big crash theres nothing to take your kneecaps off like in a roadcar...e.g dashboard etc. plus the whole car is free to act like a crumple zone.
there are frames inside the car to protect us when the car rolls and they are bolted and plates at the seems, we are fully harnessed in and helmeted :) it looks worse than it is!!
ive never broke a bone doing it in 5 years and ive had to be cut free of cars before.

what is the actual objective in banger racing? i see it appears they have teams... is it like roller derby? are they actually blocking for one car on their team to complete laps or what?
