  • Thank you all for the great comments...more videos coming very soon!

  • I've watched it two times now Sir, and I think You have helped me a lot with the reststroke; small things that makes a big matter! I would like to thank You a lot for the effort You made by doing this video, as well as share it with the rest of us. /Richard, Sweden

  • @subbotniki Hi Richard, Glad you found it so helpful..thanks for the message!

  • very nice sounding guitar. What model is it?

  • @bergweg Thanks for your note..I am playing a 2005 spruce/cypress blanca, by Aaron Green, an exceptional luthier based near Boston, Massachusetts, (USA).

  • My demon is picado speed:( I have tried everything to play faster but with no luck. although I have been told about being completely relaxed when doing picado and breathing you say the same thing which I guess is what I lack. I guess im a little impatient because I want results now not later. how long did it take you to develop this speed? thanks for posting it was really helpful.

  • @omarmiguel3 Hi... Glad you found this helpful! Well, I have been playing flamenco for about 23 years, and continue to improve. I don't know of any shortcuts, other than thoughtful (and patient) daily practice. It also depends greatly on your starting point. Some people are faster than others at first. I believe with proper practice anyone can learn though, so the ultimate answer of "how long" is extremely individual. Relaxed daily practice is one of the big keys to gaining speed (& patience!)

  • Hello Juan, thank you for the video. There are very rare tutorial explain clear and informative. I checked you channel to find more tutorial, but I don't see more wish you can continue to make it. Thanks anyway. Cheers.

  • Great lesson--very helpful! I have your Total Flamenco Guitarist book, and this, along with other great books on flamenco guitar as well as youtube demonstrations like yours really help-thanks. And of course lots of practice and PATIENCE!!

  • Great video and very good suggestions for right practice. Thank you!

  • @juanitopascual1 Thanks for responding. Now how about force? I noticed you have a nice punch to your picado which sounds great; I practice softly with out much force because I noticed that if I apply force my right hand tenses up. Could it be just the quality of my guitar? or do you apply force "when I mean force I mean a louder volume" during your practice time.

    feedback is greatly appreciated ;)
