In 1988 my band, Sopwith Camel (named before I had heard of the 60s San Francisco band), had recorded a couple of my original songs. Through my girlfriend (now wife!) Martha I was introduced to Peter Mallette who hosted a day time talk show produced at MCTV in Sudbuy. Peter heard our tape and invited us on the show where we lipsynced one of our songs. The producer of the show asked us if we'd like to make a music video using the lipsynced performance of the songs and some footage we would shoot around town. It was a bitterly cold windy day as we drove around Sudbury hopping out once in a while to get a shot. The video was eventually aired on Much Music's Indy Street program where I was interviewed by one of the VJs of the day. The song, Million To One also made it to the top 20 of that year's Q107Home Grown competition in Toronto. My brother D'Arcy Closs on bass and Rob Pernu on drums.
