I don't think he is at all. I said a lot of people, because he says "Hyuck" like a hick, so ppl think he's dumb. I don't think he is at all, I think he is determined, optimistic and awesome! Definately one of the best characters to come out of the Disney name.

@joe88john I don't think Goofy is stupid at all, and if you ask me, I think Clarabelle would be fine with either one. He has a heart of gold, and is just a little naive and childlike. If I ran into Goofy (I'm not talking about in Disney World) in real life, I'd be like, "Hey, Goof!" and just smother him in a hug! He's just so awesome!!

A lot of people think Goofy is stupid, but as the voice of Goofy (Bill Farmer) said, "Goofy is optimistic and innocent". Also its never quite clear who Clarabelle likes, Goofy or Horace Horse Collar. In one cartoon way back when, there is even a cartoon starring the 3 of them.
