Some might say West Ham fans have the right to be optimistic ahead of the new season after the signing of former Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan and the acquisition of other former Premier League players. The mood at Upton Park reflected this on their match day with Cardiff City as WinkBall video reporters gathered to get their thoughts on the club's current situation. With predictions of 4-0 victories and a swift turn to the Premiership their fans were soon to be leaving disappointed as they lost out by a goal to nil against a Cardiff side looking for a place in the top flight. Sunday, 7th August was meant to be a day of changing fortunes for the Hammers but they will have to wait until next week at least to get back to winning ways.
