  • @jsballinger Not true at all. I am an ME3 and I have my Boarding Officer qual. Along with being boat crew on the 25 RB-S and Communication Watch Standard is not that hard to keep up the quals. I am also a civilian police officer , but the two are totally different.

Be in the top 10% to choose. If not, set your sights for large bases and HQ's. Other than that, good luck. Someone's gotta do it right?

  • @berner

if it's domestic affairs, the Navy cannot participate. On the big ocean, the you only call in the navy for extra firepower. Most Coast Guard units can handle all sorts of issues w/ chopper coverage and small boat insertions. The CG has their own SEAL's as well (same trianing).

    active is full time

reserve is 2 weekends a month

aux is civilian volunteer w/ reimbursement

  • yeh sorry if you want to do that kind of job you would not care where u are deployed

  • You can't do law enforcement in the auxilary, auxilarists don't have the authority. And for reservists it might be hard to have enough time to keep up on your law enforcement qualifications required.

  • it was a refile

  • neither go active aux is like volunteer and reserve is weekend warrior type. active is the way to go

  • USCG AUX you dont participate in law enforcement

  • air force if ur gona be an officer
