  • a friend of mine sang this at our talent show and it was amazing that was the first time i heard it and honestly it made me tear up a bit.

i enjoy listening to it over and over again.

  • that's great!, just wait a lil and you'll be totally addicted to Joe's music!

  • I heard this on the Secret Life of Bees.

And I seriously think I heard one line before I went back to just watching the movie.

But something ab that one line made me look it up now, a few hours later.

The website informed me that this was the song, so I came here to make sure and it was.

First time ever listening to it in my life, and I think it's the most beautifully written song I've ever heard.

    Which says a lot.

Wow. Not only lyrically, but his guitar and his vocals above all.

  • i thought the website said it was the song "Mary" which is another joe purdy song from the Julie Blue album, but i cant be for sure because i havent seen the movie yet! both are great songs!

  • There was an awesome cover on youtube for a while, but the guy deleted it. Tremendous song though. If you get the chance to see Joe live, take it!

  • definately! i recorded some live video's from the concert i he gave in holland! it was great!

  • im a soldier in afghanistan right now.. any song he sings makes these days a little less long and my worries and stresses shrink a little more. thanks joe. keep singing my fear away.

  • She left me, and this morning she sent me this. "Sorry, i have homework. Is it weird that I have a feeling you'll be my husband one day? Not that I believe in 'fate' or 'destiny'. I just don't think I'll find anyone who'll measure up. I would make a sexual innuendo, but I feel that it would be innapropriate at this time. Well, I'm off to the Library. For the future: I do." I dont know what to say that the feeling of joy thats pouring out of me cant express.

  • Preach it Joe. Preach it.

  • This song makes me cry every time. Every time. Since I heard it the first time four years ago.

  • Gee freaking wiz. I had the worst

brain fart today. I finally found this song

and my other fave song by Tracy Chapman

    "Fast Car " (:

  • love it...

  • Real music doesn't need all of that autotune crap. Neither an entire band. Real music only needs a guitar, feeling and an amazing voice. It doesn't get any better than Joe Purdy and The Milk Carton Kids.

  • @treesEATkites

HE DIDN"T! :( I wanted to her this song the most. He still put up a great show; and The Milk Carton Kids, "wow". It was the best show I have ever attended.

  • this is the most beautiful song i've ever heard

  • @paperplanes4days lmao i know right? this is the most honest piece of music, and its not like it sounds crappy. people -______-

  • i'm counting the days one by one until i get to see this man live in cleveland. i have goosebumps just thinking about it. if he sings this song, i'm pretty sure my life would be complete... jeesh!
