Speed Bull Rush (James Harrison)

3 - 5 Fast Steps:
At the snap, sprint straight downfield 3 5 steps, depending on your stride length. Here you're using your quickness to get a step on your blocker, keeping him from setting his feet. You're not initiating contact with the blocker yet, you're simply trying to beat him to the spot that will ultimately be your point of attack.

Hat and Hands:
At the end of your initial sprint, make a strong cut inside off your outside foot. As you do this, plant your helmet right into the pads of your blocker's chest and jolt him backward with your hands. Try to have your head meet his chest and your hands meet his torso at the same time, forcing him back with one concentrated blow.

Create Separation:
The force of your impact with the blocker should knock him back, creating some space between you and him. Take advantage of this space, and use it to either continue your progress toward the quarterback or get around your blocker entirely. Do not get tied up with your blocker, this only plays to his advantage.

Chase Down the QB:
Once you've blown your blocker back and gotten past him, it's time to finish. Keep the quarterback squarely in your sights and go right for him, careful not to overrun your pursuit or let him sidestep you in the pocket. At the point of contact, wrap him up with both arms, drive your legs and take him down.

Thanks for correcting me, I misread the "all state" thing, my bad. Anyway, that guy is a joke, how he is seriously saying that what James Harrison is showing won't work. If a premier pass rusher in the NFL is showing you how to rush the QB, I'm pretty sure it works, being that he is beating some of the best tackles in the world. You gotta love the kids who are decent in high school and think they suddenly know it all, and will be some NFL star. 95% of them will fail, truth be told.

"All-State" would be high school, yes... which he's not lying about, according to google (His name is on his profile). Still, I agree completely about the fact that this would almost certainly work on him (sanchiee72) unless he was a once in a generation, Jonathan Ogden-like prospect at the position. I'm fairly certain that if James Harrison decides he's going to bullrush a High School OT, going backwards is the least of many humiliating things that are about to happen to them.

Two time "all starter" eh? Last time I checked, it was called an "All Star," and with that terminology, I know you're at High School level at most. I can promise you that you aren't too good for this to work on you, if one of the best pass rushers in the NFL is using it, it obviously works. Once you are done being an "all starter" for your middle school squad, I'm sure you'll be playing off your back the majority of the time if you go up against anyone decent.
