The election has passed and everyone seems to have relaxed, perhaps feeling that everything will be all right now that the Dems have Congress.

Then there is Concepcion...who has been keeping her vigil for 25 years 24/7. When I first saw her, I thought she looked demented, until I listened to what she had to say. It dawned on me that what she is protesting and standing against is infinitely much more insane than she could ever look.

I walked away, awed by her commitment, feeling like I just met a modern day heroic prophet of doom.

I know that she has inspired my friends, Kliint and Caroline, who have now given away everything they own to devote themselves to activism. They are now traveling the country participating in actions for change. Check out their website at: http://kliint.com

Some street performer who was trying to hit on Sasha who was too polite to brush him off. After 25 years of living in her tent, Concepcion looks like a homeless person wearing a helmet and to many people, she is invisible.

Ahh, anyway thanks again or this. Very inspiring now especially as I went the the MLK Center this week and feeling very inspired about the power of unified nonviolent protest and the methods used - which she mentioned, sheer numbers of people marching, boycotts, etc. The only way to effect true change!

Kliint, my friend who I performed the Declaration of Independence with, was so inspired by her that he and his partner Caroline, give away everything they own to devote themselves to activism.

As someone who used to canvass door-to-door for SANE/FREEZE, I identify strongly with this woman's cause (I saw her website) and I recognize her sacrifice. Im not sure if she is right about OIL and I'm nort sure if her bloodless revolution would lead to something on which we all could agree

I met this woman a year and a half ago, did not hit it off well. We yelled and screamed at each other, just ugly. Over this past 18 months I have researched her, watched interviews like these and after all this time I went back to speak to her again. I agree with her on some points, disagree with others but I had to tell her that regardless of right or wrong you have to admire her dedication and persistance. I end in saying, regardless of her appearance THIS WOMAN IS NOT CRAZY,QUITE THE OPPOSITE

She has been protesting for 25 years. Many can't even contribute once to a protest walk for a mile or a couple of miles. Some Americans have lots talk, but, like congress, can't walk their talk.

She abandoned her family, left her 6 year old daughter to be raised by others, and became a vagabond, a vagrant. To abandon her own little girl takes an insane mind.

I met this woman severla times in DC and she was extremely sane, intelligent and truly patient to devote her life against the corruption that has infested DC Bless Her, SHE IS A TRUE AMERICAN HERO!
