Find out more about the Student Union's PIP (Professional Internship) program, developed to give outstanding student employees real manager positions and useful leadership skills.
The PIP program accepts about 20 students each year, and trains them in leadership, business, and student affairs operational skills. Student employees receive a higher pay scale, along with more responsibility within their units.
Students are put in groups, where they work on a project to improve the Student Union. Successful projects are actually implemented into Union operations, and students are given the connections and resources necessary to make changes when they see problems.
