From "feeder fish" to Much bigger in a season!!! You don't have to use food fish unless you want to in the systems. Almost any hardy fish will do!
Plans can be purchased for $35 by contacting me at: aplusaquaponics@gmail.com

    Hello Friend,

I will soon be finished with my plans for this system with all your questions answered. They will come in PDF form and be delivered to our email for $35.00. You can contact my email provided in the information of this video.

  • Padkisson,

I am inspired by your version of the aquaponics system and am interested in producing a replica of it. I already have a couple of 50 gallon barrels like yours and was hoping you could post sort of a "shopping list" of the other details in your system. I don't want to forget anything! :D Thank you!

    Much Appreciated,

    mebryans2

ps- how did you secure the top planters to the tank below with the 1" x 4"s?? or is that simply balance from the weight of the rocks?

  • BTW some have privately asked why we used goldfish instead of Tilapia or other fish you can eat. We have raised Tilapia and will do so again, however, some are not interested in raising fish to eat so this shows an alternative. We began using goldfish in the winter to keep the systems running. They are tolerant of the cold.

Sorry to hear that. I know you would have had fun with it. Maybe the idea will grow on her! :0)

  • I asked my wife if I could build something like that for our back yard and she said "no". Go figure. :)

  • @fatsuru

That's awesome to hear!!! I'm very pleased to know that!!!

  • Glad to see some new vids. your double barrel aquaponics system is what inspired me to start my own system
